This Sunday, Rev. Susan Steinberg returns to lead the worship service Grace Church Red Hill.
Rev. Susan Steinberg lives in Charlottesville, where she has been a Minister-at-Large in the Presbytery of the James since the fall of 2021. She is involved in the Presbytery's Commission on Ministry, the Charlottesville Clergy Collective's Public Stands Committee, the NAACP's Religious Affairs Committee and Westminster Presbyterian Church's Racial Justice Working Group. She also serves as a guest preacher for local congregations. Susan was the Associate Pastor of United Church of Chapel Hill for sixteen years where her ministry focused on faith formation with a special emphasis on children and families. After her ministry at UCCH concluded in 2018, Susan became more deeply involved in faith-centered local and state advocacy efforts. Susan and her husband, Steve Farmer, lived in Charlottesville before moving to Chapel Hill in 2000, and Susan served as Associate Pastor of Westminster Presbyterian Church. Susan is enjoying the chance to return to this area, to connect with old friends and meet new ones, and to explore walking trails again with her golden retriever.
